"Inaugural reception of the Belgian Lebanese Business Council"

The inaugural reception of the Belgian Lebanese Business Council (BLBC) took place among a large crowd of Belgian and Lebanese businessmen, as well as many officials and representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps.

Guest speakers were H.E Mr. Karel De Gucht, Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs and H.E Mr. Fawzi Fawaz, Lebanese Ambassador in Belgium. The audience was welcomed by Mr. Hikmat Nasser, President of BLBC.

Minister De Gucht expressed his satisfaction on the creation of BLBC, he stressed the fact that Belgium and Lebanon have many points in common, not the least the fact that both are small countries composed of many different communities and surrounded by much bigger neighbors.
